A9 Dualling: Tay Crossing to Ballinluig – Overnight traffic management in July 2026

Road users are advised of upcoming traffic management on the A9 near Kindallachan and Rotmell Farm to facilitate essential utility diversion works as part of the A9 Dualling work. The traffic management which will utilise temporary traffic signals is required to ensure the safety of road users and the workforce whilst these works are undertaken.

The location of the traffic signals will be on the northbound A9 carriageway and will be in operation weekly, with work taking place in the evenings from 7pm until 6am the following morning, starting from Sunday 5 July.

Work will be carried out under the temporary traffic signals at the following locations and dates:

  • Rotmell Farm – from Sunday 5 July until Tuesday 7 July, from Sunday 19 July until Thursday 23 July and from Monday 27 July until Tuesday 28 July.
  • Kindallachan – from Wednesday 8 July until Friday 10 July, from Sunday 12 July until Friday 17 July and on Sunday 26 July.

Road users are asked to approach the area with care and allow extra time for their journeys whilst these works are carried out. For live updates, please refer to the Traffic Scotland website.

These overnight measures have been scheduled to minimise disruption, however, some delays may result and we apologise for any inconvenience.
